MY MISSION

InSight Accessibilities is a solo endeavor dedicated to championing the empowerment of individuals who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Blind, Low Vision, Individuals with CVI, and DeafBlind. As a multifaceted professional, I, Kristen Lang (formerly Sharpless), serve as a Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist, Certified Vision Rehabilitation Therapist, American Sign Language Interpreter, and DeafBlind Specialist, with a singular mission.

My mission is to provide unwavering support to my clients in their pursuit of independence, safety, and autonomy. I am committed to instilling confidence and creating accessible environments for Deaf, Blind, and DeafBlind individuals. I firmly believe that ensuring access, independence, safety, and autonomy are “in sight”, and I work diligently to transform this belief into a reality for those I serve.

I offer personalized guidance and support to help my blind/low vision/CVI clients develop vital travel skills, enabling them to navigate the world with assurance and freedom. I also provide American Sign Language interpreting services to empower Deaf, Hard-of-Hearing, and DeafBlind individuals in their pursuit of effective communication and full participation. Additionally, I actively engage with the community, delivering education and raising awareness about Deafness and Blindness. My commitment extends to offering in-service trainings and outreach support services to empower individuals and their families on their journey toward a brighter and more accessible future.
